Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw aka Elizabeth Alice MacGraw was an American actor, animal activist and writer who was awarded numerous prizes. Her films include Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) and The Getaway ( 1972). Her desire to be an artist was influenced by her upbringing as a member of the New York family of artists. Her first job was as a photo assistant after that she moved on to modeling and acting. Her first two movies were noticed and she received an award called the Golden Globe Award of Most promising newcomer. MacGraw's Love Story from 1970 was a huge hit that brought her fame worldwide, as well as an Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe Award. The film was recognized as the most successful box office star in the world after only three movies. In 1972 her hand-footprints and signatures were recorded at Grauman's Chinese Theater. The other films she has appeared on include The Getaway Convoy Players, the miniseries on TV The Winds of War and many more. Her autobiography, published in 1991 Moving Pictures came out. MacGraw has been married three times.
